Election troubleshooting
Phase won't advance — check all phase dates; prior phase must complete (e.g. nominations closed before scrutiny ends). Scheduled transitions run via advance-polls every few minutes.
Nomination rejected — owner sees reason; may re-nominate if window open. Check arrears flag, term-limit rule, or credential status.
Can't nominate — term limit — max_consecutive_terms blocks re-election to the same post when the owner already served that many consecutive terms in committee history.
Objection unresolved — Election Officer or admin must resolve before candidate appears on ballot.
Uncontested post — single approved candidate; declared automatically, no vote needed.
Officer can't sign in — verify email matches assignment; election must not be cancelled or closed.
Tie at seat boundary — plurality tally flags tied candidates at the last seat; admin resolves in the results UI before formal declaration.
Results look wrong — GBE uses plurality (top vote counts), not ranked-choice. Download the election report and compare per-post vote totals.
No reminder received — nomination/voting reminders go in-app and by email 24h before deadlines; check spam and that the member has not already voted.
